The NATURA Book

This book was created alongside the exhibition as a way to hold the paintings and poems in one place, to be experienced again and again. This 8.5 x 8.5 inch hardcover book gathers more than 100 pages of Jessica Le Clerc’s paintings, shown both in full and intimate close-up detail. Selected paintings flow across two-page spreads, and each painting is paired with original poetry by award-winning writer Anna McGahan, written in direct response to the work.

The book also includes a link to listen to the original musical composition by Brett Anthony Shaw, a 20-minute score created to be experienced while viewing the collection, weaving natural sounds and orchestral layers to deepen the narrative of Natura.
